  About Lori Lee Luck

Lori said she was going to get the most out of life that she could, a promise to herself that she kept even during her courageous battle against cancer in the last four years of her life. Lori eagerly devoted time to causes she believed would leave the world a better place. As a resident of Jersey City, she played a key role in establishing both the Liberty State Park Conservancy and the Lafayette Neighborhood Association and went out of her way to help her friends and neighbors whenever and however she could. She enjoyed traveling, music, nature, skiing, and trips home to Wisconsin to visit her family. Lori was married to Donald Wenner and they celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary just several days before her death in 1997.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Lori graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1974. She earned an undergraduate degree in consumer science from the University of Wisconsin at Madison (1978), and an MBA degree from George Washington University (1986). In 1990, she completed her certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). During her career, Lori held banking and finance-related positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis; the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, DC; and the Chase Manhattan Bank, Marine Midland Bank and New York Life Worldwide Holding Company, all in New York City.

  Some people

come into our lives

and quietly go.

Others stay

for awhile and

leave footprints

on our hearts,

and we are never

the same.
